Schultz was born on October 30, 1983, in New York City to a Scottish immigrant mother, professional ballroom dancer Sandra Cameron, and a German-Irish American father, Larry Schultz. Larry is a native New Yorker, a former reporter and a veteran born to a family in Chicago, Illinois. Andrew's parents owned the dance centre Sandra Cameron in Lower Manhattan for 30 years.
